Here's one

I don't know if I've moaned about this on here before, but you're gonna read me ranting about it anyway...

Now, I think that I'm a very socially inept person. Usually when people talk to me in real life, like pass me and say hi suddenly, all that comes out is 'Mbhrehajf?!', so I usually don't say anything and smile/make a strange face. Ironically, this way I won't make a fool of myself. This is not only a problem in real life, but on MSN as well. I mean of course I don't say 'Mbhrehajf?!' when someone says hi to me on MSN, because my brain actually has time to recognise the fact that someone is actually socialising with me. In real life, my mouth moves faster than my brain and shit pours out. But the problem on MSN is that I cannot keep a conversation going for the life of me. People say things and I usually reply with some sort of emoticon or acronym, and the conversation dies. Then people comment on this, saying 'you don't really talk much, do you?' or 'say something!', and I reply, telling them why I don't talk so much. This is the bit that irritates me. The cynicism of society leads them to believe that I am lying and just don't want to talk to them. They don't tell me they think I'm lying, they just give tell-tale signs like 'oh, okay. i won't talk to you anymore then,'. Then I say 'you think i'm lying, don't you?' and I get pissed off.

I know it's kinda rude to not talk to people (not that I don't make the effort - I do sometimes try to make conversation), but I think it's much more rude to accuse someone you've just started to talk to of lying. Who's with me on this/has the same problem?

  1. What a problem, it's a dilemma that we all face at times.
although we seem to conquer it at the end.
