Oh yeah, major pissed-off-age. I don't think i posted about this, but my saxophone was damaged. So it had to get sent back to the company who sent me a replacement. How kind of them. What was rather unkind of them, however, was to send me yet ANOTHER damaged saxophone. It's really quite lame, because I can't practice at all without a saxophone, quite obviously. So I'm rather annoyed at the moment, because I really wanna get practicing...

On a very happy note, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Brand New's new album Daisy. It's just so... yay. Everything about it I love. Though they seem to have lost some of the harmonic intricacies that they used in their last album, it's still a very very VERY good, thought provoking and atmospheric listen. Nicely done, guys. Major love for Jesse and his lyrical genius.

Long Time Gone

This blog is getting seriously neglected, and I'm truly sorry. I'm sure people are just as busy as I am, so it's not really getting read, but I think I should update this more often than I have recently.

It's nearly the end of September. That means that the weather will do nothing but get colder, even though we've had better weather this past week than we had all summer. Takes the piss that does. School also takes the piss. "Here, you don't need to live properly, do you? Have so much work that it will make you collapse." Erghhhh I am going to struggle so hard this year. I've already been given more work than I have ever received in my life, especially in Japanese. I swear the amount of work we do in Japanese should be the amount of work we do in all subjects collectively. Blah blah blah.

Trinity is awesome. I love it. Yay.

4 Days

I'm sorry I haven't been on here much, but I have been kinda busy with all sorts of stuff. First, a brief rant.

Why can't things just... be right? My saxophone came as I said, but as it turns out it's broken. One of the keys sticks down when pressed. We think it was damaged in transit. One of the little rods has come out of a little saddle thing, and blaagh. Why couldn't it just arrive right! Silly thing. And why can't things like essays be right the first time? It would take up SO much less time than it usually does. SO much. I guess it's all part of the fun of life! Yay!

Eurgh, school is so hectic. Stupid fucking IB.

Yeah I'm stuck on the M25 right now. On the way back from Bristol Uni. It's a great place, now my first choice.

Ah the delays have stopped now. Anyway, I have my sax now and I can make a decent noise from it.

Fatigued

School is so draining. I'm enjoying tonight though, as I have very little work to do tomorrow and I can just rest. And rest I bloody well shall. It's the least I deserve I think.

What can I say about today? Nothing really. Dull as ever. I'm anticipating Muse's new album though. Got it dowloading as we speak. I'm laid on my bed as well as I'm writing this. God I love this phone. So so muchhhh! I can tell that this week is gonna get harder and harder. The weekend will be good though. Music college, TGIs, and a party. Then hopefully some movie times with someone :)))) hehe.

Sure, why not?

I'm on my iPhone again. I'm only writing this for the sake of it. Haha. I'm so cold, my feet feel like blocks of ice.

I know I've said this before (I think), but I'm really really looking forward to uni. I wanna go to Nottingham, and the entry requirements for music there aren't all that high, so hopefully I'll get in. I just can't wait to be completely independent and do whatever I want with my time. Right now all I do is work, and next week I'll be working 6 days a week. Like full days. Not coolllllll. I just wanna sleep and do nothing but music right now, but that's not going to happen. Ah well, life goes on.

I'm always tired now as well, I don't sleep half as much as I'd like to. No more lay ins for me as well now, cos I have to work all the time. Maybe I should stop moaning about it. Just get on with it I think. Yeah.

New levels of Awesome

Guess what? My iPhone came. Guess where I'm writing this from? That's right, my beautiful iPhone. Right now, the only bad thing about it is that it doesn't play flash stuff. That, and the fact that I can't put the bloody thing down! I'm at risk of becoming even more antisocial. Ah well. The 3G on this phone works better than some of the wi-fi networks in bluewater.

Next week I start back at trinity, and today I realised that it means my weekens won't start until 5.40 every saturday. FML. It'll be worth it though. Saxophone lessons, yes please.

Ahh this takes so long on my iPhone. I still love it thoughhhh haha.

Musical Tastes

It appears my ears have had a sudden like for bands who like to scream, grunt and make loud noises whilst the guitars chugachugachugatremelo underneath. I'm not complaining. Just a suggestion, but if you like that kinda music then take a look at these guys. If you live near me then they're a local band that make hardcore type music, and if you don't live near me they're a band from Kent (mostly), and I must say they are one of the best local bands I know. A couple of their songs they've put up for everyone to download here, and their EP is only £4. I urge you to buy it, k. They're great. They're not paying me for this btw, I just think that they deserve some more notice.

On an unrelated topic, school is dumb and busy. Too much stuff going on there right now. I have a headache from it all. And of all things, they have set mock exams on an INSET DAY. Trust my school to do that. Stupidddd.

Back to music. I am SO SO SO excited for Brand New's new album. Like REALLY. It's going to be so good. I also discovered the other day that The Devil Wears Prada and Drop Dead, Gorgeous have new albums out. They're both pretty good in my opinion. Me likes.

I GET MY IPHONE TOMORROW, AND I START TRINITY IN ABOUT... 10 DAYS? YES, LIFE IS GOOD. WAHA.

Something New

I walked home at 5.30am this morning. That was fun. Nobody else was around. It was really really calm. I walked through the little meadow and there were rabbits all over the place. They ran from me, bless them. So I got in this morning at about 6 and slept until 3. Now I'm attempting to start some Japanese homework, but I have no idea what it is really. So I'm struggling a bit. Ah well.

Yet again I witnessed an incident of 14/15 year olds being unable to handle their drink. Ohhhh boy was it embarrassing to watch. I hope they're very unpopular tomorrow in school, because they were just mergh.

So, I passed my driving theory test today. 43 out of 50 for the questions, and 54 out of 75 for hazard perception. Managed to score 5 points on 3 of those. Woo :))))). Now all I need to do is book some more driving lessons and take my test. Ahhh! What fun.

I finally got my Trinity timetable. Saturdays from 9-5.10 now. Quite a difference to last year. But it's gonna be fun, because I got my saxophone lessons. I need to hire a saxophone now. Ahh I'm really looking forward to it :D

I'm gonna be doing a lot of work this year. I can feel it. This'll mean less posts from me. Not that they were too frequent to begin with, but you know, they'll be less frequent. And they will probably just be a rant about how impossible my chemistry work is. Ah that reminds me, I need to do some chemistry work.

Today was good, but strange. It didn't feel like a first day back.

How depressing. Summer is well and truly over with. The days are going to get shorter (and filled with homework, coursework, university applications, music exam practice, saxophone renting, and possible depression) and colder, but not colder quite yet. Hey look, a plus! There are a few things to look forward to though. First is my THEORY TEST ON FRIDAY. Oh the joy. I haven't really studied for it. Haha what a shame. Then I have a couple of parties at the weekend, which is more parties than I've been to all summer. How depressing is that?

I have 9 months left of school. Nine. Nine months of stress and revision and learning new things and getting better at old things and losing homework and getting shouted at. Nine months of not seeing my friends. Nine more months of being 17 though. Yes. By the end of May I will be 18 with a job to save up for Reading (yes I am going next year) and Uni and hopefully by the beginning of July I will have a place at Nottingham or Bristol University. Then 4 months of doing nothing but working and and doing things I can do because I will be 18. Ahh.

Another thing to look forward to this month is the amount of new albums coming out. The Used's new album came out today and I need to get that. But there's also Brand New's new album coming out, and this is probably my most anticipated album ever. I hope it's good, I really do. Then there's Muse's new album, which I'm slightly less optimistic about, purely because they've gone downhill generally since The Origin of Symmetry. I swear there were more albums than this, but no doubt I'll come across them soon enough.

Also, in keeping with the theme, I've added a new poll. The old one revealed that wasps were the most pointless thing, with 70% of the votes!
